Who is eligible for a First Time Central Heating Grant?
If you are a homeowner, or a tenant, and are in receipt of any of the following, then you could qualify for the grant:
Disability Living Allowance
Income Support
Universal credit
Child Tax Credit
Constant Attendance Allowance
Carer’s Allowance
Income Support
Attendance Allowance
Pension Credit (Guarantee)
Child Benefit
Jobseeker’s allowance (Income-based)
Working tax credit
Severe disablement allowance
Employment and support allowance (income-related)
Industrial injuries disablement benefit
Mobility supplement
Personal independence payment
War Pension Mobility Supplement
Armed Forces Independence Payment
What sort of heating must you have currently?
Your home must have one of the following heating systems:
Gas room heaters
Solid fossil fuel fire with back boiler
Solid fossil fuel room heaters
Gas fire with back boiler
Electric room heaters
Wood/biomass room heating
Bottled LPG room heating
Oil room heaters
Electric underfloor or ceiling heating
If your home does not have any heating, then you could still qualify!
